Mushroom Gnocchi

Ingredients: 4 tablespoons butter,1 pch cayenne pepper,2 tablespoons Flour,salt and ground black pepper, to taste,2 1/2 cups sliced mushrooms,2 1/2 cups sliced mushrooms,cup grated parmesan cheese,1 cup prepared pesto sauce,500 grams unwashed potatoes, peel, wash & chop
Instructions:

  1. 1 . Cook potatoes in boiling water for 15 to 20 minutes.
  2. Drain well.Mash until smooth.
  3. Blend in mushrooms, flour, butter, parmesan and seasonings.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Knead for a few minutes on a lightly floured surface.
  6. Roll dough into cylinders about 2.5 cm long. indent each gnocchi with the prongs of a fork to decorate.
  7. Cook in small batches in a large saucepan of boiling water for 2 to 3 minutes (gnocchi will float when cooked).
  8. Drain and serve with pesto sauce.NOTES :Preparation Time: 45 minutes.
