Anchovy Sauce

Ingredients: Fine bread crumbs,1 can anchovies in oil,2 cloves garlic, cut,Linguini,1 can puree,Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:

  1. Lightly brown garlic in oil.
  2. Add anchovy and cook until they “melt”.
  3. Add puree and seasonings.
  4. Add water, if needed to be thinned. Cook about 3/4 hour. Cook linguini al dente; drain.
  5. Add sauce and toss.
  6. Serve with bread crumbs which have been toasted in a frying pan with a little oil. Don't burn.
  7. Sprinkle crumbs on top of pasta and enjoy.
