Hot Fruit Compote

Ingredients: 1 can (16-oz) sliced peaches, drained,1 can (16-oz) pear halves, drained, chopped,1 can (16-oz) purple plums, drained, pitted,1 can (20-oz) pineapple chunks, drained,1 jar (6-oz) maraschino cherries, drained,2 Bananas, sliced,3/4 cup Brown sugar,3/4 cup Brown sugar,cup Butter or margarine,1 can (16-oz) applesauce,3 tablespoons Brown sugar,3 tablespoons Brown sugar,1/2 cup Chopped pecans
Instructions:

  1. Combine first six ingredients in 13x9x2-inch casserole. Set aside.
  2. Combine sugar, butter & applesauce in saucepan & heat thoroughly, stirring occasionally. Spoon over fruit.
  3. Sprinkle with brown sugar & pecans.
  4. Bake at 300 for 1 hour.
  5. Serve hot. (May be prepared ahead & frozen. To serve, thaw overnight in refrigerator.)
  6. Serves 1
