Sauerkraut Dip with Bacon and Garlic

Ingredients: 4 slices bacon,8 ounces cream cheese at room temperature,1 teaspoon garlic paste,1/2 cup mayonnaise,salt and pepper to taste,32 oz sauerkraut,1/4 cup chopped shallot
Instructions:

  1. Cook bacon until crisp, then drain and crumble.
  2. Drain off bacon drippings and cook shallot in the same skillet until soft. Discard drained bacon drippings.
  3. Place drained sauerkraut and other ingredients in a food processor and run until smooth.
