Ingredients:

  • 6 ounces soy milk
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 6 ounces vegan margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups organic cane sugar
  • 6 tablespoons applesauce
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups organic, unbleached white flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • Creme Brulee Frosting, recipe follows
  • 1/2 cup raw sugar, for bruleeing
  • One 13 1/2-ounce can coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons soy milk
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons organic cane sugar
  • 4 tablespoons plus 1 1/2 teaspoons tapioca starch
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons organic brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup organic vegetable shortening
  • 1/3 cup vegan margarine
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
